We are located next to the weaving and carving village of Chimayo. Also in Chimayo is Santuario, a colorful local church that contains healing dirt and is the destination for an annual Good Friday pilgrimage. Thousands of people walk, drive, and ride horseback to arrive at Santuario on Good Friday. Continuing on north from Chimayo is the high road to Taos, the road that wanders through the villages of Truchas, Las trampas, and Penasco, through the Carson National Forest, past Sipapu Ski Basin and on to Taos.
Espanola, the Northern New Mexico crossroads town, is 5 miles to the north and from there Taos is 35 miles to the north and Abiquiu is about 20 miles to the west.
We are surrounded by Santa Clara, Okey Owingeh (San Juan), Pojaque, and Nambe pueblos and slightly further are Tesuque and San Ildefonso.
Santa Fe is 20 miles to the south, a 20 -30 minute drive.
